Aims:

what factors influence the natural history of post-stroke impairments up to four years after a stroke?
what are the longer-term (four year) outcomes of stroke and what is the relationship between the impairments, and disability and handicap?
the association between acute post-stroke impairments and long-term stroke outcomes.
