My area of work and research is related to the economics of stroke, locally in South London and through my involvement in the ‘European Registries of Stroke (EROS)’ project, which the Department is co-ordinating.

• Developing a framework and model for assisting decision-makers to determine the optimal level of service provision by specialist stroke centres
• Evaluation of the costs and outcomes of different options
• Economic and computer simulation modelling
• Economic evaluations of the care in the stroke unit in Guy’s-St Thomas
