Freda graduated with a Ph.D in Sociology from the University of Surrey.
Her thesis focused on complementary health practices and religious beliefs.
Freda is currently undertaking research on inequalities in stroke care. The research focuses on inequality in service provision for stroke survivors in South London. The aim is to investigate the causes of inequality from the perspectives of patients, health professionals and service providers. This project is funded by the Department of Health and will be completed in 2003. Areas of interest include religion and health, notions of identity and body perspectives. |
