European Framework V Programme Grant: EROS
|

We are
Co-ordinating a €2 Million EU programme; The European Register of Stroke
project, involving 11 centres in Europe will assess the impact, quality and
cost-effectiveness of stroke care. We are curently in year two collecting

Award winning SLSR

Members
of the Stroke Research Programme won the prestigious BUPA Foundation Epidemiology
Award for excellence in the study of a chronic disease (stroke). The award

Stope
Stroke: Secondary prevention
|

The
Stop Stroke South London Secondary Prevention Intervention commenced in
June 2003 and is commences to finish in 200.. Piloting commenced in February
2002. The intervention involves targeting patients and professionals
with individualised
information
about

The
South London Stroke Programme were well represented at the 14th European
Stroke Conference in Bologan, Italy. A total of 12 abstracts were

|

The Guy’s and St Thomas’
Charity have selected stroke care as a priority area for modernisation.
Over several years £5 million will be spent developing innovative services.
The stroke research group will be involved in maintaining the SLSR and
