Brief for the Development of newborn screening using DNA techniques for Dried blood spot samples for transfused babies

The Programme aims to procure at least 2 laboratories using DNA techniques suitable for dried blood spot samples taken during newborn screening for the testing of samples from transfused babies who would otherwise require repeat testing for sickle cell disease.

Please submit 10 copies of your proposal (maximum of 10 sides of A4) to include background about your organisation, methods including quality assurance processes, staffing, and costs for the above by post and email by 5pm on 13 October 2008 to Sandra Anglin.

We are currently recruiting peer reviewers to look at research proposals and/ or reports.
